Food and Drink Photo Shoots
Hiring a photographer can be daunting, even for location shoots or portraits, but can feel especially overwhelming when food preparation is involved. I have put together some information about what happens during and after a shoot, who does what and when, and who provides and sets up things like props. I hope that this helps to you feel more comfortable with booking a shoot to make your food look wonderful. Of course, I would love to discuss your requirements and answer any questions or address concerns that you may have.

Chef & Celebrity Portraits
I love to photograph chefs and those involved in the food and hospitality industries. Portraits are often used for marketing and communication, book and media covers, and portfolios. Projects that combine both food and people photography are my ideal commission. Sometimes, capturing images of people in their work or home environments can really add context and a sense of familiarity. Hospitality Venue & Location Photography
As well as conducting photoshoots in my local area of Stratford Upon Avon and the Cotswolds, photography not only takes me around the UK but has taken me around the world with commissions from airlines, tourist boards, and hospitality venues. When the opportunity arises, I love to photograph people in their workplaces. Here are just a few examples of interesting location and venue photographs.
Videography
In addition to static photography, I also film and edit videos. These will often be demonstrating places of work, wonderous skilled workmanship in action, hospitality venues, or beautiful locations in the UK or around the world. I present you with some examples of my work and would love to talk to you about your video projects.

Mint Pubs - Ryan & Charlotte
Lorentz did a photo shoot for both our websites of our pub & restaurant and we were blown away by the photos. He captured some fantastic shots that have made our businesses stand out and also really tells our story of what we are about too. Lorentz took time to talk to us and get to know us before the shoots and then took pictures that he thought would make us shine in what we do. And it worked perfectly!

Any good cookery book demonstrates not only the end results but also shows the beauty and importance of the ingredients within.
Baking & Desserts
Having your cakes look as tempting and tasty as they are delicious to eat can make such a difference on a website, in a book or in catering literature. Baking photo shoots can often be easier to prep for in advance, compared to those with freshly prepared hot food. All requirements and expectations would be discussed prior to any shoot taking place.

Lorentz Gullachsen established GULHOS in 2014 with the intention of changing direction after many years working internationally as an Advertising photographer for the travel and automotive industries, however like all good plans fate took him back to more portrait & people work and the GULHOS concept took a backseat with a few notable exceptions, developing website material for such venues as Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Walsall Arboretum and Ragley Hall as well as producing videos for Shakespeare's England and many hospitality clients. Food photography has always been a passion of Gullachsen who started early after a stint as a chef and working at Cadbury's Bournville studio early in his career. Gullachsen continues to shoot to Portraits and Commercial projects and his other work can seen on his sites
